Aurora Geosciences Ltd (Aurora) is currently looking to hire experienced core cutters for an exploration program running February - March 2026.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the core cutters will be responsible for the following:
• For the safe operation of the core cutting machine.
• Safe handling of core and core boxes.
• Adequate acquisition of all required Assay samples from drill core.
• Maintaining of all core cutting equipment and supplies.
• Core teching, if delegated by the Project Manager.
• Perform any other duties, projects or activities as required and directed by onsite Supervisors or the Project Manager.
• Complying with all Health Safety Security and Environmental rules and company policies of Aurora.
The successful candidate will have the following capabilities:
• Be committed to safe work practices and abiding by the company code of conduct and associated policies
• Be comfortable and have experience working in the field or remote work environments and in all weather conditions
• Be in good physical condition, capable of carrying up to 25kg of weight and able to work long hours
• Have experience working with rock saws and associated equipment
• Have a valid Drivers License (preferable)
• Have a valid Wilderness First Aid Certificate (preferable)
Preferences will be given to those residing in the Northwest Territories. Ideally, candidates will have previous exploration field experience and past core cutting experience however, training will be provided. The successful candidate(s) will be compensated with an industry competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Travel, accommodations and meals are provided while on site.
